Yasmin began dancing aged 5, and made a start to competing in formation and medalist competitions.
After being successful as a young juvenile competitor Yasmin moved on to the open circuit at the age of 10. She competed regularly and became increasingly successful and was selected to represent Great Britain in the British team match held at Blackpool in 2001.
In the junior category Yasmin was selected again for the junior British team in 2005. She also competed & trained regularly nationally and internationally including Italy, Ireland, Denmark, Paris, Finland, and Luxembourg.
Yasmin then moved into the under 21 category. She moved up the rankings and In 2007 she was reached the top two couples in the country and was then selected to represent England at the world championships held in Finland. In the under 21 category she reached 2nd place at the UK closed championship, top 12 at the International open to the world Championship and 2nd place at the British National Championship.
After moving out of the under 21 category Yasmin decided to further her training in Italy for 7 months, and returned to England in January 2012. Later in 2012 Yasmin teamed up with Stephen and began their successful partnership, and together they soon made an impact on the competitive scene by reaching the quarter finals of the world championships in December 2012.
